Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

NestEgg never stores your banking credentials. You enter your holdings manually; we don't connect to your banks or brokerages, and we never sell your data. Every record is scoped to your account with row-level security.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email, an encrypted & hashed password, and your account preferences.

You manually provide investment data, which may include:

  • Investment holdings and quantities
  • Account values and balances
  • Asset allocation and liabilities

We automatically collect limited usage data: log data (IP, browser, pages visited), feature interactions, and performance/error data.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Calculate portfolio analytics and generate reports
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Send important updates about the Service
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Protect against fraud and abuse

3. Data storage and security

  • All data is encrypted in transit using TLS
  • Data is encrypted at rest
  • Passwords are hashed with a strong, salted algorithm
  • Row-level security scopes every read/write to your account
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with redundancy and daily backups

4. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with infrastructure providers needed to run the Service, or when required by law.

5. Your rights

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format (Settings → Export)
  • Object to certain processing, or withdraw consent at any time

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session, remember your preferences, and improve performance. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
